Now that Dubai traffic is very busy i wish to understand each and every information you display on the sign board so that i will drive safely following the sign board. In a large Dubai sign board you see so many exit indication and so confusing us. Also at the top you see exit with some exit number. you find exit with arrow mark sometimes in blue and sometimes in white mark. Sometimes 2 exits with arrow and in white colour. What does all this mean?/ Is there any book to refer?Pl let me know and thanks.

Go to page 100 where the section on traffic signs start, and refer especially to page 112, where they talk about highway signs!
Expat woman i was able to open which explains about the different road signs. Light motor hand book when i tried to open i get the message ” forbidden -403″. I am interested to know the various Traffic Signs erected on the road to follow the different lanes to reach our destination point.
On the subject of road signs – it would be a great idea if the authorities could agree some consistency on place names here in Dubai. It is generally accepted that Jebel Ali is spelt – well . . . . . J e b e l A l i – nevertheless in some parts of Dubai on road signs it is spelt J a b a l A l i .
We all know its the same place but it seems ridiculous that whoever commissions or creates the signs appears not to know how to spell key destinations properly. Similar problems seem to occur with other place names too.
Is it Al Qudra Street or Al Qudra Road? Is it Nad Al Sheba or Nad Al Shiba?
Why is there no sign for Dubai on exiting DXB terminal 1? How are visitors in their rental cars supposed to know where to go?
Why is there no sign for Jebel Ali or is that Jabal Ali and Abu Dhabi as you head out from DWTC past Zabeel towards Business Bay area?
