Long traffic queues form on flyover and sometimes back onto SZR because of the design of the exit from the flyover. Drivers tend to move only into the right hand lane going forward to the traffic signals because of concerns about coming into conflict with vehicles from Jebel Ali direction. The level of traffic from Jebel Ali is very low at all times and does not need two lanes and / or uninterrupted flow towards traffic signals just past the flyover on the approach to Discovery Gardens.
