It would be interested to check in the accident reports, the number of crashes that happened in the simple configuration with one car bumping into the one in front.
Without any experience in &quot;accidentology&quot; my wild guess would be an easy 30%.
I drove a friend&#039;s car the other day and found out that once the cruise control was on, if the car in front brakes, a sensor commands the braking of the car in the same proportion.
Technologically speaking it is not difficult to instal this kind of system onto EVERY car with maybe not with a braking function but the same annoying noise when you don&#039;t have your seat belt to inform the driver that there is less than 2 seconds between the car in front.
And as for the speed cameras, if governments REALLY wanted to address the issue of road safety instead of money, they would place some devices to measure this interval between cars and whoever would be below would be fined.
They would make a lot more money that way and am sure it would have a better effect that fining for speeding.]]></description>
